The CCM Tacks 5092 Ice Hockey Pants feature good protection for the intermediate player by offering solid protection in all the critical areas. To boost durability, CCM reinforced their nylon shell with abrasion panels in high-wear areas. The liner above the waist is an upgraded microfiber that is very soft and moisture wicking, while the legs are lined with low-density foams for comfort and mesh for breathability.

The same highly protective combination of molded hard plastic (PE) and beefy medium-density foams can be found in the kidney protector, tailbone insert and lower thigh guards. In the hips' PE inserts, CCM brings back their patented JDP technology to disperse the force of impacts. The lower spine protector which extends above the kidney pads is built from thick mid-density foams with a covering of stiff, molded HD foam. These pants offer a customizable fit with zippers in the lower inside legs, as well as a 1" length extension right underneath the belt.
